Liquefied Gas Cylinder Control System (LCS)

Liquefied Gas Cylinder Control System (LCS)

Liquefied Gas Cylinder Control System (LCS) (EN)

Developed by specialists from the company's Industrial Automation and Software Development UEB, it has had an excellent result in the current environment of the Liquefied Gas management process in Cuba. The developed hardware architecture (based on the use of RFID tags) as well as the software created for different platforms (web servers, desktop computers and mobile phones), has allowed the implementation of the control of liquefied gas cylinders throughout their journey, which includes the filling of the cylinders, transportation, sale and requalification or repair of the same.

The developed control system guarantees a safe exploitation of this type of service as well as a strict control of the location of the cylinders as main assets of this logistics chain, since it allows:

Identifying all liquefied gas cylinders in a unique and reliable way, controlling their location and use at all times and detecting any incorrect manipulation of them.

Automating the process of reading and storing the cylinder numbers, increasing the efficiency of asset control and increasing productivity in the operations of the logistics chain.

Significantly reduce cylinder deviations and consumption of LPG by regulated (subsidized) customers, bringing it as close as possible to their real needs.

Increase the operational safety of LPG cylinders by having a more reliable means of controlling their maintenance cycles and their mandatory withdrawal from service.

Given the high impact of this system, its generalization throughout the country is expected, taking into account that its scope is in accordance with the number of customers and the form of marketing.

Implement an effective record of the serial number of LPG cylinders to control their location and maintenance cycle, demonstrating the high resistance of the technology used to vandalism and the benefits it brings to CUPET and the country.
